'90 Day Fiance': Caesar Mack Left High and Dry in Mexico By Alleged Girlfriend Maria
90 Day Fiancé is no stranger to accusations of scamming, playing folks for visas, and the like — these are almost standard fare when it comes to the more dramatic couples. However, Caesar Mack’s 90 Day Fiancé experience is seeming more and more like blatant catfishing with every episode.
Mack met his alleged girlfriend, Maria, online. The two have been chatting for five years, but they’ve never met in person. Fans have been concerned that Caesar is being catfished — and after he was ditched in Mexico, some seem more concerned than ever.
How Mack met Maria
Caesar Mack met his Ukrainian 90 Day Fiancé flame online with an international dating service named Anastasia Date. Mack says the service, “brings Americans and Ukrainian women to meet each other for a small price.”
Anastasia Date suggests they are “connecting singles across the world with their ideal partner.” Mack told the camera that Anastasia Date users can spend real money to send gifts like flowers to their love interests, who can then choose whether or not to message them back.
Mack admitted that he spent $450 to send Maria flowers and a card when he first met her on the dating service. Caesar, a nail technician, says he’s a hopeless romantic still reeling from a past relationship.
“I learned to do nails from my ex-girlfriend. She was my high school sweetheart, we dated for thirteen years, and when we broke up I was heartbroken. But, I’m still a hopeless romantic. It’s very important for me to have somebody that’s my soulmate. Somebody that I can walk the beach with, live my life, and basically live our life in like, a dreamland,” explained Mack.
“And I think I’ve finally found the one woman that I’ve been searching for all my life,” continued Caesar. “She emailed me back and there were immediate sparks. Yeah it was like firecrackers and everything were just booming off. She’s kind, smart, funny, she makes me feel special. She is my soulmate.”
Mack sends her cash
Is this hopeless romantic getting played? Some fans and friends think so. Caesar Mack has admitted that he’s been sending money to his 90 Day Fiancé lover. In fact, he estimates that he sends Maria up to $800 a month out of his paycheck.
Apparently, Mack has also tried to set up plane tickets for Maria in the past, losing out on his investment after she canceled the flights. Most recently, Mack asked his boss for a $2,000 loan to purchase Maria a trip to Mexico, where the two could meet up.
Mack has said that his friends and family are worried for him, and that they’ve expressed concern that Maria has never actually said Mack’s name in any of the many videos she sends him. Instead, she usually uses pet names.
Left lonely in Mexico
When Caesar Mack left for Mexico, he hadn’t heard from Maria in three days. Without any confirmation that she’d be meeting him there for sure, he traveled there and waited for her.
The day that Maria’s flight was slated to leave Ukraine, he received a message from her saying that the flight was canceled.
“I just don’t know what to say right now,” said Caesar as he teared up.
Caesar later discovered from the airline that the flight had been canceled due to insufficient funds in Maria’s account.
“It wasn’t her fault. It was my fault. If the ticket wasn’t canceled, I think Maria would have gone on the flight. I still have hope I can meet her in person. When you really love somebody, you don’t ever give up on them. I’m still gonna try to get her here. I’m gonna do what it takes,” said Caesar.
