Bachelor’s Michelle Money’s daughter, 15, is moved out of ICU as dad reveals she’s ‘doing well’ – The Sun
MICHELLE Money's daughter Brielle had "a big win" on Saturday after the teen was moved from intensive care to the Neuroscience Trauma Unit (NTU).
The 15-year-old's father shared an update on Instagram, revealing that she is "doing so well".
"Truly your prayers have been heard and are being answered. Your love, thoughts, spirit, positive energy are felt! We are so grateful for those of you who have invested in Brielle’s recovery," he wrote.
"Anyone familiar with a TBI recovery knows that this is a sacred and special time. I’m not sure how many times I have cried today… Brielle has a road ahead of her and with as tough as she shown herself to be we have high hopes but also we have all the time and energy she needs from us."
His update came after her mom, former Bachelor star Michelle, revealed she would no longer be updating her accounts as she felt it was time to let Brielle decide what was told.
As she wept, she revealed how "grateful" she was to "all the amazing friend and family and strangers who have followed and supported and prayed for my daughter".
"Your prayers, energy, and concern will never ever ever ever be forgotten," she said.
The mom-of-one then revealed she felt "this overwhelming need to be present with her for this next chapter in her life, and this is not my story to tell".
"I can tell you that she is going to be okay," she shared, later praising her daughter's courage: "This kid, this special kid is strong, this kid is woah, going to do some big things with her life but it is up to her if she wants to share those things."
Brielle, 15, had been placed in a coma on life support after the skateboarding accident which took place at the end of March.
Sharing a photo of the teenager in intensive care, the actress explained at the time that Brielle suffered a fractured skull and "serious brain trauma" after she fell off her skateboard without a helmet on.
Michelle emotionally shared: "Brielle was in terrible skateboarding accident and is in the ICU on life support.
"She suffered a serious brain trauma and a fractured skull. She is in a medically induced coma to relieve pressure in her brain."
