Bake Off teaser shows panicked contestants in first baking disaster

Great British Bake Off is back, and there's new contestants in the tent hoping to impress Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith.

But it seems panic has already set in barely into episode one, with a new clip teasing some of the contestants having issues.

Judging by the choice of bakes, the first theme of the series may have been revealed as cake week.

As the contestants are warned by hosts Noel Fielding and Sandi Toksvig they only have five minutes left, some of the bakers realise they're not quite ready.

The clip which aired on This Morning on Friday shows several of them worrying they could run out of time.

Others have in fact finished their bakes, but there's big problem that could work against them.

A few of the bakers shown in the video reveal their struggle to cool their cakes down, with just minutes to go.

One contestant, Dan, is shown fanning his bake with a tray, as another chucks her dessert in the fridge.

Michelle is heard shouting: "My cake's too hot, my cake's too hot!"

She then sticks it in the fridge and adds: "I'm just trying to cool it down quickly. It's just so hot"
