BBC Breakfast’s Naga Munchetty halts show to ‘check on co-stars safety on air

BBC Breakfast’s Naga Munchetty was forced to halt the morning programme to check on her co-star's safety during live interview.

During Thursday’s visit (June 8) to the BBC studios, the 48-year-old broadcaster and her co-host Charlie Stayt woke up the nation with the latest headlines in the news.

One of the biggest stories that caused a discussion on the signature red sofa this morning was new statistics which revealed more than 490million pints of milk is wasted each year.

Now, supermarket giants Marks & Spencer have joined Morrisons in ditching used by dates on their own brand milk in place of best before dates to encourage buyers to smell and taste the product before throwing it away.

To get an expert opinion on the story, the presenting duo welcomed dairy farmer Ceri Cryer onto the show where she shared her tips and tricks for making milk last longer in the fridge.

But Naga couldn’t help but halt the on-air interview in order to check in on the guest’s safety as she reported live from her farm, surrounded by dairy cows.
