Bill Turnbull makes ‘brutal’ dig at Piers Morgan as he replaces him on Good Morning Britain – The Sun
PIERS Morgan's Good Morning Britain replacement Bill Turnbull made a "brutal" dig at the presenter on day two of the job.
The 64-year-old has reunited with his former BBC Breakfast co-host Susanna Reid while Piers is filming in America.
And he wasted no time in poking fun at him this morning as they celebrated Pancake Day.
A pancake artist created Bill and Susanna's faces out of batter.
Delighted TV legend Bill said he looked "ten years younger", while Susanna said she should "sour".
Bill then saw the opportunity to take a swipe at Piers, saying: "They were going to do one for Piers but they couldn’t find a pan big enough for his head."
Stunned Susanna laughed: "Oh it's day two and we're already Piers bashing."
Cheeky Bill added: "Well he's not around this week, is he? Good Morning Piers, loving your work."
Yesterday GMB viewers were thrilled as Bill was back with Susanna six years after they last fronted BBC Breakfast.
Bill, 64, is filling in for Piers Morgan this week and began by sharing a hug with Susanna, 49.
The broadcaster, who has incurable cancer, said: "I can't believe this is really happening, it's so exciting.
"I feel like I'm coming home."
He previously revealed he does not know how much time he has left and the cancer has spread to his bones.
He has had nine rounds of chemotherapy and is having injections of a tumour-busting radioactive substance, Radium 223.
