Caitlyn Jenner explains what kids call her and Kendall’s reaction to transition
Caitlyn Jenner has opened up to her I'm A Celebrity campmates over what her kids now call her.
The reality TV star, 70, who came out publicly as a trans woman in April 2015, also explained how she refers to Bruce.
During the intimate jungle chat down by the creek about her famous family, Caitlyn explained that her kids still call her 'Dad'.
Caitlyn, who is father to six children and has four Kardashian step kids, revealed model daughter Kendall Jenner was first to ask her a big question.
During a chat with Kate Garraway, Jacqueline Jossa, Nadine Coyle and Adele Roberts, Caitlyn said: "My kids all call me Dad, Kendall asked me first and I said ‘Dad’, I’m your Dad and I’ll always be your Dad till the day I die.
"But what they’re really good at which shocks me all the time is when they’re talking about me, my Dad she and it’s tough to change the pronoun in the middle of it."
Good Morning Britain presenter Kate asked if Caitlyn felt like a father to her kids.
Caitlyn said: "Bruce raised them and Caitlyn is enjoying their life with them."
Kate and former EastEnders star Jacqueline said Caitlyn's outlook was lovely.
When Kate questioned how many grandchildren she had, Caitlyn said: "20 in December."
Asked what the grandkids called her, Caitlyn said: "They’ve come up with ‘Boom Boom’, it kinda stuck, it was easy for them to say."
The emotional chat started when Kate remarked that the parents were all a range of ages.
Kate joked she was officially geriatric being at mum at 38, while Jacqueline became a mum at the age of 22.
Kate said: "When you are younger, you might feel like you know what you’re doing but actually you feel like that when you’re older. Do you remember holding that little bundle and feeling the pressure that you’re entirely responsible."
Caitlyn then asked: "Does anyone remember the first time something came out of your mouth that you’re Mother said to you?"
After everyone laughed, Caitlyn continued: "It’s so scary when you become your parents."
Adele joked she always tells her nieces and nephews that money doesn't grow on trees, then Caitlyn added: "My daughter Kendall’s response is ‘yes it does, its paper’."
