Celebrity Big Brother: Lamar Odom and Shanna Moakler Among Famous Houseguests in Season 3
Joining Lamar and Shanna in the new season of the CBS show are NSYNC singer Chris Kirkpatrick and ‘The Real Housewives of Atlanta’ alum Cynthia Bailey among others.
AceShowbiz -“Celebrity Big Brother” is back! On Wednesday, January 26, the CBS reality TV show announced its star-studded cast for season 3 during an on-air promo. Among the cast is former NBA player Lamar Odom.
Joining Lamar in the new season are NSYNC singer Chris Kirkpatrick, “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” alum Cynthia Bailey, comedian Chris Kattan and figure skater Mirai Nagasu. The upcoming season will also see singer and dancer Todrick Hall, former “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star Teddi Mellencamp and model and reality star Shanna Moakler.
Also competing in season 3 are “Diff’rent Strokes” star Todd Bridges, former UFC champion Miesha Tate and Queer Eye cast member Carson Kressley.
The 11 celebrities will be competing against each other over the course of several weeks. Julie Chen returns as the host.
Prior to the revelation, Julie teased the cast in a video shared on Twitter. “@CBSBigBrother fans you’ve been patient. We hear you, we see you and we want to reward you with some clues on who the #BBCeleb Houseguests will be,” the tweet read. “Listen along and make your guesses. The reveal will be here sooner than you think.”
The 52-year-old host hinted that the cast include “a former American basketball player who has been famously linked to a family of reality tv stars” and a star who “gained fame in the 90s being part of one of the most famous and influential music groups in the world.”
The new series would also feature a “famous housewife,” someone who is known for “cracking jokes, specifically on ‘Saturday Night Live‘ ” and an “Olympic bronze medalist.” The hints icluded “the daughter of a famous rock star,” “a pageant queen, model and actress,” a sitcom actor and an athlete who is in the “top 15 for the UFC Women’s Bantamweight rankings.”
The spin-off of “Big Brother” first premiered in February 2018. Actress Marissa Jaret Winokur came out as the winner after beating out TV personality Ross Mathews. In the sophomore season, which aired a year later, singer and reality TV star Tamar Braxton was crowned as the winner after she edged out NFL player Ricky Williams. The “All the Way Home” singer also made history as the first black winner of “Big Brother” in the U.S.
Season 3 of “Celebrity Big Brother” premieres on CBS on Wednesday, February 2 at 8/7c.
