CHARLOTTE Crosby and Joshua Ritchie split because he didn't want to settle down, it has been claimed.

Their two-year relationship ended earlier this month, admitting the relationship had "broken down".

Charlotte, 29, had recently moved from Newcastle to set up home with 25-year-old Josh in Bolton.

But sources say the four-year age gap meant Josh didn't feel ready to commit to marriage and kids.

An insider told New! Magazine: "For a while Charlotte has wanted to get married and have kids, but Josh, being younger, doesn’t have any interest in settling down.

"They both want completely different things because they’re at different stages in their lives.”

"That's what she really wants, but Josh was adamant he isn't ready."

Former Geordie Shore star Charlotte unfollowed Josh on social media after announcing they had broken up.

In a statement she said: "Me and Josh have decided to part ways.

"Sadly the relationship seems to have broken down. Hoping we can still remain civil and wish him the best for the future."

The Love Island star is yet to comment on the split publicly.

The couple initially didn't seem too down about the end of their romance, with Josh enjoying a night out with his pals and posting videos from a club.

But Charlotte posted a video of herself crying.
