Chris Evans’s ‘Infinite’ Headed to Theaters in 2020

There’s an end to the wait for “Infinite,” and it’s in 2020.
Paramount Pictures has scheduled the Chris Evans-starring film for release on Aug. 7, 2020, Variety reports. The news comes after some reshuffling that started with Disney moving back “Avatar 2.” The change left Dec. 18, 2020 open, so Paramount nabbed the spot for Eddie Murphy’s “Coming to America 2” and gave “Infinite” the Aug. 7 date.
“Infinite” is based on the D. Eric Maikranz novel “The Reincarnationist Papers,” which centers on Cognomina, a secret society of people who are capable of remembering their past lives. Haunted by the memories of two of his, one troubled young man finds and joins them. John Lee Hancock and Ian Shorr are adapting the story, and Antoine Fuqua will direct. The film will be produced by Lorenzo di Bonaventura and Mark Vahradian of Di Bonaventure Pictures alongside John Zaozirny.
So far, we don’t know what films will have the same opening day as “Infinite.” Warner Bros. does have a project on the calendar for Aug. 7 at the time of this writing, but it remains untitled. We’ll have to wait and see.
