Christine Lampard grills Love Island's Jordan in savage interview
Christine Lampard took no prisoners when she began her interview with dumped Love Island contestant Jordan Hames on this morning’s Lorraine.
The 40-year-old presenter opened the chat by demanding to know what the Manchester model was thinking when he pied Anna Vakili just two days after asking her to be his girlfriend.
‘You know, with that one I feel like when you really like someone you suppress certain thing,’ Jordan replied as he joined the programme live from Majorca. ‘I feel like there were situations in the villa where I was suppressing them and when India [Reynolds] came in we got on well and it did surprise me.
‘I felt bad because I did just make Anna my girlfriend but it did make me realise there were things missing with me and Anna.
‘I know that I’ve not gone about it in the right way and if I could do it again I would speak to Anna first, but things rolled out how they were.’
He continued: ‘I was going to pull Anna for a conversation straight after that and also it wasn’t a case of me going to India and trying to pursue her, it was juts a feeling that I that I wanted to get off my chest because I feel like the whole way through I was on Love Island I was true to how I was feeling.
‘In Casa Amor, throughout the whole time it happened, I did tell everyone I missed Anna and I wasn’t thinking about the repercussions of if she did come back in with Ovie.
‘I feel like this was just the same situation and I just wanted to be honest to myself and if it meant that I was going to be dumped because of it then so be it, but I knew that if I was true to myself then I could walk out the villa knowing that I’ve been myself.’
After hearing Jordan’s version of events, Christine backed down, telling him: ‘To be fair to you, obviously Anna did come back with Ovie and sort of dumped you and I think that has been forgotten in the midst of all of this.’
Love Island final airs tonight at 9pm with The Reunion airing on Sunday at 9pm on ITV2.
