Coronation Street’s Peter Barlow (played by Chris Gascoyne) is set to be pulled into Stephen Reid’s (Todd Boyce) murder of Rufus Donahue (Steve Meo) which could set up his exit storyline.
Shortly before Rufus was murdered by Stephen, he lost his watch inside Peter’s cab, with the icon later finding the item.
Instead of putting the expensive and valuable item into the lost and found and waiting for it to be picked up, Peter pawned it in order to get money for Carla Connor’s (Alison King) rehab centre.
What the pair didn’t know was that Stephen was secretly drugging Carla with LSD to make her think that her psychosis was back, forcing her to sell her shares of Underworld.
Now, official spoilers reveal that Peter begins to become suspicious of Stephen and could either be the serial killer’s next victim or downfall.

In upcoming scenes, Lou Donahue (Eleanor Howell) arrives for her meeting and tells Carla and Stephen the police have agreed to look into the missing watch and the strange tie pin.
Stephen steals her hotel key from her bag and is on a mission to retrieve the tie pin before it’s too late.
He overhears Peter on the call to the pawnbroker where the cab driver later confesses to Stephen that he pawned the watch but it has been sold.
Stephen later lets himself into Lou’s hotel room whilst she is at the factory and rifles through Lou’s belongings, finds his tie pin and pops it in his pocket.
