Coronation Street resident put behind bars by loved one in revenge twist
Ellie Leach says she doesn't like being horrible to Corrie co-star
It was recently announced Faye Windass (played by Ellie Leach) is leaving Coronation Street after first appearing on the serial drama 12 years ago.
Actress Ellie has now suggested her character could be locked up after the truth about Ted Spear’s (Duggie Brown) death is exposed to the police.
Coronation Street fans will recall Faye and Emma Brooker (Alexandra Mardell) caused his death when the girls were involved in a hit and run.
Emma managed to escape to Australia with Ted’s grandson but Faye remained in Weatherfield worrying her copper partner Craig Tinker (Colson Smith) might tell the police what happened.
Will her secret come out as part of Faye’s dramatic exit storyline on the ITV soap?
In upcoming scenes, Craig continues to struggle and debates telling the police what Faye did.
Viewers will see her forced to pick between settling down with Craig or heading to Slough with her former flame Jackson Hodge (Joseph William Evans) and their daughter Miley (Frankie-Jae Simmonds).
If she chooses Jackson, will that cause Craig to report Faye’s crime to the police as part of a revenge plot?
Faye actress Ellie appeared on Tuesday’s instalment of This Morning for a chat with hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield about the storyline.

Ellie shared: “It is really hard for her because she wants to do the right thing by everybody and I think that’s always been the case for Faye and I think she always puts everybody else before herself. Now it’s time for her to put her feelings at the forefront.”
Holly added: “We’re trying to work out what will happen here. She could either disappear but there’s also the secret.
“And in that clip there, where Craig’s like, ‘Well I just feel like going down and telling the police’, that’s another way she could potentially go.”
Speaking at the Pride Of Manchester Awards to The Mirror, Ellie said of her exit: “To be honest, I’ve been working since I was nine years old so I’m going to go on holiday for a little bit.
“I think I’m going to do a little bit of a holiday and just do a little bit of travelling.”
When asked if Faye would make a return to the cobbles, she said: “I don’t know. People will have to watch and see…”
