Daniel Osbourne (played by Rob Mallard) recently returned from Scotland after taking time away from Coronation Street as he continues to struggle after the death of his beloved wife Sinead’s (Katie McGlynn) tragic death. However, in upcoming scenes, Daniel will spend the night with an escort called Nicki, but after a rather shocking admission, he could be about to give up Bertie for good.

Daniel has struggled to get his life in order recently and even had a fling with Bethany Platt (Lucy Fallon).
However, in upcoming scenes, Daniel could be ready to leave the cobbles for good leaving Bertie behind.
Sinead died last October after a year-long battle with cervical cancer after trying lots of different treatments in the hopes of seeing Bertie grow up.
Yet, after months of acting out and getting into flaky relationships and after a discussion with his family, Daniel recently took some time away from Weatherfield as those closest to him wonder how they can finally help him.

He returned and has been trying to convince everyone he is okay, but every now and then the mask keeps coming loose.
This week on Coronation Street, after agreeing to go to a party with Adam Barlow (Sam Robertson), Daniel will meet Nicki.
Despite not being obvious at first, it will soon become clear that Nicki is an escort, and with Daniel looking for any company he can grab, the two will go up to her hotel room.
Daniel and Nicki will hit it off, so much so he will open up to her about how difficult he has been finding everything since Sinead died.
However, as he begins to open up even more about how he is really feeling, it will become clear that he has a lot of work still to do.
He will tell Nicki: “People say it gets easier but that’s not true.
“I think about her all the time, last thing at night, first thing in the morning and I hate sleeping in our bed now.
“When I wake up I just want to put my arm around her and then I realise she’s not there.
“I miss talking to her about Bertie and the funny things he gets up to in the day, like when he sometimes giggles when I am trying to dress him first thing in the morning.

“Boring stuff but she would have loved it and I miss holding her stroking her hair, feeling her next to me and I just feel so lonely all the time.”
Nicki will grab onto his hand and say: “Well, you don’t need to feel lonely anymore.”
Daniel has tried pretty much everything at this point to make himself feel better, but could Nicki be the one to show him what else there is to live for?
Later this week, Nicki will tell Daniel that he can see her anytime he wants if he wants someone to listen to him.
