Coronation Street spoilers: Tracy Barlow’s secret plan to take down Robert exposed?
Coronation Street resident Robert Preston (played by Tristan Gemmill) has been leading a double life and it seems the truth could be exposed by none other than his ex-wife Tracy Barlow (Kate Ford).
In scenes which aired tonight, ITV viewers tuned in to see Robert interact with Vicky Jeffries (Kerri Quinn) at an awards ceremony which her son Tyler Jeffries (Will Barnett) had won a prize at.
When trying to convince her to leave the function so fiance Michelle Connor (Kym Marsh) wouldn’t run into her, Tracy spotted them hugging one another and suspicions were raised.
But it seems Tracy may have a greater plan to expose Robert of his secret.
“Why are you hugging that tramp?” the florist asked when she bumped into Robert comforting Vicky. “Robert, you seem to be bumping into that Vicky rather a lot.”
After palming her off with an excuse, Tracy warned Robert: “If you’re lying, I will find out.”
Following the event, Michelle and Robert went to the Rovers Return pub to discuss the job opportunity Michelle had been offered.
During this time, Tracy felt the need to mention Vicky and Tyler’s appearance which naturally infuriated Michelle.
But Robert managed to lie his way out of the questioning while Tracy watched on in amusement.
“Trouble in paradise? Oh don’t tell me your halo’s slipping Robert,” Tracy stated. “Although, I bet Tyler was bigging you up in his acceptance speech.”

Surprised, Michelle asked: “What, Tyler was at the hotel today?”
“Oh, didn’t you know? Sorry,” Tracey remarked knowing full well she had just caused a ruckus.
“Ignore her,” Robert suggested. “I didn’t know, look you remember I set him up with a mentor, turns out the kid’s made so much progress he won a prize!”
He then turned the conversation to a false job he had been offered, which would result in him having to spend nights away, presumably time he would choose to spend with Vicky.
“Actually, I got chatting to Leighton, his mentor, and he’s found the work really rewarding and he says they’re looking for a chef to go into one of the Young Offender units and he thinks I would be a good role model for the kids,” the Bistro chef stated.
“And you’re interested then?” Michelle asked and he replied: “It would mean the odd night away from home.”
“Well we could cope with that, if it’s what you really wanted. I know we can cope with spaces,” his fiancé commented.
But, with Michelle also leaving Weatherfield for a few weeks to take part in some training programmes required for her new position, it means Robert is free to come and go as he pleases between Coronation Street and Vicky’s house.
However, Tracy is bound to get herself involved, is this the start of her following Robert to find out what he is really up to?
Coronation Street airs Friday at 7.30pm on ITV.
