Dolly Parton fans go wild as she releases trailer for new Netflix anthology series Heartstrings with an all-star cast – The Sun
COUNTRY icon Dolly Parton has given fans a first look at her new Netflix series Heartstrings.
The 73-year-old legend stars in the new anthology series, where each episode tells a different story based on one of her songs.
The streaming service's musical series will see the Nashville superstar appearing in each episode, either as a narrator or via a cameo.
She says to camera in the trailer: "Songs, they’re just stories, put to music. Songs I’ve written, they are stories of my life. Every trial, every struggle, every smile, every sorrow."
"It’s the melody of my memories – it’s the sound of my heartstrings."
The trailer then shows a flurry of famous faces who star in the various stories, some which are set in the present day and some which are period pieces.
Among the all-star cast are Kathleen Turner, Ginnifer Goodwin, Julianne Hough and Patricia Wettig.
And the eight Dolly tracks which form the title for each episode are Two Doors Down, If I Had Wings, JJ Sneed, These Old Bones, Down From Dover, Sugar Hill, Cracker Jack and, of course, Jolene.
The trailer sees the themes from Dolly's music re-imagined as dramas and we witness various scenes of love, life and loss, including birth, marriage and death.
We will also see Dolly sing in the show, as the trailer ends with her on the mic belting out the hit Two Doors Down.
And fans couldn't be more pumped for the series to hit Netflix on November 22.
"Oh my heart!!!" said one follower.
"Great and can't wait to watch it!" added another.
