EastEnders fans point out awkward filming blunder during Sharon’s scene
EastEnders producers were left red faced after being caught out by an awkward blunder during Friday night’s episode.
Eagle-eyed viewers spotted a slip up whilst Sharon Mitchell sat in the pub following the death of her son Dennis in the recent boat tragedy.
During the emotional scene, Sharon sat alongside Shirley Carter is seen reaching for her drink which is almost empty.
In the next shot, she sips from a glass that is miraculously almost full – and fans spared no time in pointing out the continuity mistake.
“Why did Sharon pick up the nearly empty glass to toast and then drink from the nearly full one?” a viewer took to Twitter to hilariously point out.
Another follower praised the magic moment, writing “Sharon picks up near empty glass but then drinks a full one miracles do happen #EastEnders .”
Others questioned where they could get their own refillable glass.
“Anyone else notice Sharon picked up an empty glass and it was full when she drank, I need one of those kind of glasses myself.”
What appears to have happened is that during the scene, Sharon picked up the wrong glass from the two that were in front of her.
Sharon has been devastated ever since her son Dennis tragically drowned during the boat party despite rescue attempts by Ian Beale.
At the same time, she has been desperately trying to keep her life on track after giving birth to another son Kayden.
The aftermath of Dennis’ untimely death is sure to play out in the coming week as more clues become apparent about what really happened on the sinking boat.
Ian, who tried to save Dennis, remains racked with guilt which might eventually become suspicious.
"I am so, so sorry. I should have done more. It should have been me who died on that boat," he told the mourning mother.
