EastEnders’ John Partridge reveals whether he’d ever return as Christian
John Partridge has addressed whether he’d make a return to EastEnders as Christian, and he isn’t ruling out the possibility.
The 48-year-old actor joined the soap back in 2008 and was involved in the huge romance storyline between Christian and Syed Masood (Marc Elliott) before he departed the show in 2012.
He’s made numerous appearances in the soap since, and he isn’t ruling out potentially returning again during an appearance on Loose Women.
Speaking on the show to panellists Andrea McLean, Nadia Sawalha, Carol McGiffin and Kaye Adams, Partridge said: ‘Listen I’m a jobbing actor, I say yes an awful lot. I never say never to anything. I’m happy where I am right now but who knows.
‘Christian might get sick of Birmingham and he might come back, you never know.’
Reflecting on Christian’s storyline, Partridge is incredibly proud of what it represents all these years later.
‘People always say “do you get fed with people talking to you about Christian,” and I’m so proud of Christian,’ Partridge said.
‘I’m so proud of that storyline because it just became about two people in love in impossible circumstances, and I think everybody can relate to that.
‘No matter sexuality, or race, or religion, that’s what it became about.’
You can catch Loose Women weekdays on ITV at 12.30pm.
