EastEnders’ Louisa Lytton and Gillian Taylforth steal the show at the British Soap Awards

It wouldn’t be The British Soap Awards without Eastenders, and tonight the East End girls have taken glam to the next level with their jaw-dropping dresses. 

Louise Lytton who plays Ruby Allen on the square, wore an emerald green gown in a classic silky material, the look was pulled in at the waist with a matching belt, while the sleeveless top added drama to the gown.

The actress opted for an up-do hairstyle to compliment her dramatic eye look, while the whole outfit was completed with a pair of nude shoes.

Co-star Gillian Taylforth, known as Kathy Beale in Walford, made waves with her backless frock that featured a plunging neckline and a jewelled statement waist.

Once more, the star’s hair was pinned up to reveal a pair of hoop earrings that were complimented by two matching bangles on her wrists.

Up next was Shona McGarty, who plays Whitney Dean in the soap, wearing a sheer shirt and skirt combo.

The star showed off a black bralette beneath a mesh shirt, while her sequin skirt shone bright featuring gold, copper and silver designs.

Shona styled her iconic red hair in a slick back ponytail, while a statement braid ran along her hairline.

Meanwhile, her on-screen sister Maisie Smith, known best as troubled teen Tiffany Butcher, wowed in a silk red gown that featured elegant straps.

EastEnders newbie Jessica Kate Plummer opted for a crisp white suit that framed her figure perfectly.

Known for her role as Chantelle Atkins in the soap, the star rocked a natural make-up look consisting of a red lip and glowing highlight.

The British Soap Awards air tonight on ITV form 8pm.
