EastEnders superfan Lord Sugar gives show bosses concern by exposing Keanu twist
EastEnders superfan Lord Sugar has been exposing the soap's explosive Christmas storylines.
Show bosses may have cause for concern as business mogul has come up with some convincing theories that may play out on screen.
Lord Sugar also revealed that he never misses an episode of the BBC soap, even when he is travelling in the US.
The Apprentice boss has been digging into Keanu Taylor's supposed death – and is certain that Sharon Mitchell's baby daddy is still alive – tweeting: "I say Keanu is not dead @bbceastenders"
Martin Fowler showed Ben Mitchell a video tape of Keanu being shot dead, but Lord Sugar is not convinced without a body.
When EastEnders tweeted him back claiming the evidence says otherwise, he replied: "Show me the dead body and not a video on Martin's phone."
Lord Sugar believes that Linda Carter played a role in Keanu's disappearance after spotting a vital clue.
He tweeted: "You have to watch Linda was desperately cleaning her shoes in the last episode"
Lord Sugar also admitted he was "warming to a double cross" by Louise Mitchell.
And he even added: "I think that when Sharon has the baby there will be a call for DNA and it will turn out its Phil's"
But he confessed that one theory that Keanu is with Vincent at a secret kickboxing training school in Thailand ahead of a charity bare knuckle match against Phil and Ben was "far-fetched".
Executive Producer for EastEnders, Jon Sen, admitted he can't wait to see how fans react to the flashback episode.
He said: “We all agreed that Christmas is so good we wanted to do it twice!
"So this year the New Year’s Day episode will be a format-busting sixty minute episode taking us back to the beginning of Christmas Day to see the stories from different perspectives.
"As the episode unfolds, viewers will discover what really happened on that day, when new secrets were born and fresh alliances forged."
While EastEnders boss Kate Oates reckons viewers will get the answers to questions they didn't even know were there.
She added: "All serial dramas have played with format over recent years and it’s less of a surprise these days so to do it. There has to be a reason.
"There was so much story to get in there. There are lots of unanswered questions from Christmas Day and some of them, the audience won’t even have realised have been raised until they watch.
"What I really like about this Christmas is there’s a lot of history in there. Martin’s story looks at the history of what happened with Jamie all those years ago, the Carter story looks at the history of the Vic. We very much pay tribute to EastEnders history while being rich in story.
"The flashback episode is built around lots of little clues and it will pay off really awesomely I think. The writers, directors and actors have done a brilliant job in just making it feel really clever and exciting. We’ve done it for a really good reason."
*EastEnders airs on Monday on BBC One at 8pm
