Emmerdale fans claim producers have ‘ruined’ show with bizarre Wild West storyline

Emmerdale’s Bernice Blackstock (Samantha Giles) was seen throwing a Wild West Fundraiser tonight, inspired by her boyfriend Liam Cavanagh (Jonny McPherson).

This saw the Emmerdale cast members dress up in costumes and use fake accents, as well as acting out Wild West scenes.

However, it doesn’t seem like viewers of the ITV soap were enjoying it at all.

Many took to Twitter to claim that producers had “ruined” the show with the bizarre scenes.

One exclaimed: “What the heck Emmerdale.”

While another added: “Nah they’ve ruined Emmerdale.”

A third asked: “What the f*** is Emmerdale tonight?”

While a fourth chimed in: “This has to rank as the single worse episode I’ve ever seen. The writing and acting is just awful. Who ever come up with the wild West theme needs to be sacked.”

Despite the backlash, there were a few fans of the episode.

One tweeted: “I’m liking this Wild West stuff, everyone looks good.”

Another added: “Good fun in Emmerdale tonight!”

Emmerdale returns to ITV tonight at 8pm.
