Emmerdale reveals fate of tragic Eric Pollard as Faith and David break down
Earlier this week, Eric Pollard (Christopher Chittell) was knocked over when Jamie Tate (Alexander Lincoln) arrived in Emmerdale village.
He was taken to hospital and seemed to be on the mend, but took a turn for the worse and ended up in a coma.
Tonight, Pollard’s nearest and dearest were close by his hospital bed, hoping for the best.
But it seemed he’d never recover when he was unresponsive and girlfriend Faith Dingle (Sally Dexter) turned hysterical.
She begged: “Eric Pollard, if you don’t stop messing around there’s gonna be hell to pay.
“I’ve never known someone to go to such lengths to get out of work.”
As she cried, Eric managed to squeeze Faith’s hand, which turned her hysterical for a very different reason.
“Oh calm down woman”

She screamed: “He squeezed my hand! Eric, if you can hear me, blink or squeeze my hand or wiggle a toe or anything.”
But Eric did better than that, managing to moan sum words.
Still disorientated, he muttered: “Oh calm down woman.”
Faith, David (Matthew Wolfenden) and the others in the hospital burst into tears as they realised Pollard was on the mend.
But will he recover completely in the coming episodes?
Next week’s episodes will see flashbacks to last week’s big night out episode, which saw a number of villagers’ lives change forever.
Emmerdale continues tomorrow at 7pm on ITV.
