Emmerdale star confirms shock exit after two years on soap
EMMERDALE star Rebecca Sarker has confirmed the shock exit for her on-screen sister Paige Sandhu.
The actress – who plays Manpreet Sharma in the ITV soap – says she finds it strange that Meena Jutla actress Paige will no longer be a part of the show.
Speaking to The Sun and other media, she said: “It feels very surreal, it has been so intense.
“We messaged each other the other day and we know it’s coming soon.
“It’s a bit strange, to say the least, to think that I’m not going to be with her.
“I can’t really imagine her not being part of Manpreet’s storyline and vice versa.
“But you’ve got to be sensible about it, there was life before Meena and there will be life afterwards, I think.”
She added: “Paige is absolutely going to go onto great things, there is no doubt in my mind. She’s fabulous.”
It comes after Paige teased the beginning of the end for Meena.

She said: “The ending's incredible, better than I could ever have imagined, and I have already started crying.
"[Meena] is a psychopath and believes nobody will ever get the better of her.

Last night viewers watched as Meena set about her plan to frame Manpreet Sharma for Andrea Tate’s murder.
She is going to convince police that Manpreet controls her and instructed her to kill all of her victims.
