First Winter Love Island couples confirmed – but twin bombshell sparks fury
Winter Love Island has finally kicked off and South Africa's luxury villa has welcomed its first set of gorgeous singletons.
Girls Sophie, Paige, Siannise, Shaughna and Leanne entered the pad for the first time tonight and were left stunned by their surroundings.
The group all enjoyed a bit of a mingle before getting down to business as they chatted about their type 'on paper'.
Rochelle Humes' sister Sophie was quick to say that she was keen for someone "tall and tanned", adding that she'd prefer it if he was able to "have a laugh" too.
Meanwhile Shaughna said that she often went for plumbers – something her mum liked too, purely because she'd get free work done on their house.
However host Laura Whitmore interrupted the get-together for their first coupling up – but it is all set to change with the arrival of the twins.
Here are the first couples of the series…
Sophie and Connor
Rochelle Humes' sister Sophie was one of two girls who stepped forward for Connor, but the coffee bean salesman decided she was the one for him.
Sophie was immediately smitten with Connor, branding him "so cute and chatty".
And Connor seemed similarly interested in her, telling the boys: "I'm well happy, she stood out straight away."
Paige and Ollie
Heir and landowner Ollie was paired with Paige tonight after no one stood forward for him.
And, unfortunately for him, Paige didn't seem anymore interested.
"Ollie's such a nice boy but he's not my type," Paige told the rest of the girls.
Siannise and Nas
Like Ollie, none of the girls stood forward for Nas – who ended up choosing Siannise.
Confiding in the rest of the girls, Siannise said: "I don't fancy him – he's shorter than me,"
She added: "He's fun to talk to but at the moment I'm just not feeling it ."
But poor Nas seemed interested in her, telling the boys: "She's such a nice girl."
Shaughna and Callum
Shaughna and Callum were paired together after showing some mutual attraction during the first coupling.
She told the girls: "He's just so lovely to talk to, I really fancy him… he might get a little arm rub tonight!|
Leanne and Mike
Police officer Mike chose Leanne after she stepped forward for him this evening.
And as the pair got chatting tonight on the day beds, sparks seemed to fly.
After discovering his career, Leanne said: "Seeing Mike in a tropical two piece it's difficult to see him arrest criminals on the street."
Mike continued to charm Leanne, calling her "beautiful" – is there potential for romance to blossom?
