'Frozen 2': Kristen Bell Shares New Song 'The Next Right Thing'

There’s a little over a month until Frozen 2 lands in theaters and fans can hardly wait for the sequel. The cast is also excited, as evidenced by a new clip shared by star Kristen Bell. Here’s what she revealed on Instagram.

Kristen Bell is Anna in ‘Frozen 2’

Bell is known for many films and TV series over the years. You may be familiar with her from Veronica Mars, House of Lies, or her current series, The Good Place. Bell rose to prominence with films such as Forgetting Sarah Marshall and the Bad Moms franchise.

However, many children (and parents of those children) know her voice more than her face. That’s because she voiced the character of Anna in the 2013 hit Disney film Frozen. Bell has continued to provide the vocals (musical as well) for Anna in various shorts and other Frozen-affiliated projects over the years since. And she’ll reprise her role in the forthcoming sequel, Frozen 2.

Here’s what we know about the film so far

We have seen glimpses of the highly anticipated sequel over the past year or so, but now we have quite a bit of great promotional material at our fingertips, including a newly released international trailer. Here’s what we’ve learned from watching it.

Arendelle is in trouble once again, and it’s up to Elsa (Idina Menzel) to save it. She’ll embark on a journey (apparently not a solo one this time) in order to discover what she needs to do. Anna, Kristoff (Jonathan Groff), Olaf (Josh Gad) and Sven the horse will accompany her. Check out the trailer above.

Bell saw ‘Frozen 2’ already

Though the rest of us have to wait until Nov. 22 to see Frozen 2, the stars of the film have already had the chance to take it in. And though this isn’t information they typically share with us until the premiere (which usually takes place a week or just a few days before the public release), we know that Bell has already seen it.

How do we know? Because her husband, Dax Shepard, shared a photo of himself kissing an Anna statue, which he captioned, “Bad news to all my moto-buddies and gearhead Bros, I’m seeing Frozen2 before y’all!!!!!” Bell then shared the photo on her own Instagram.

We also know that Bell saw the movie with the rest of the cast because of the above Instagram video (which she also shared on her own account). In it, Groff (who must have seen the photo elsewhere) tells his castmates how much he enjoyed the film, which he took his mom to see with him. Groff doesn’t have his own social media accounts, so Gad shared it first.

Here’s a preview of ‘The Next Right Thing’

OK, now the moment you’ve been waiting for. In addition to an international trailer and cast member reactions ranging from silly to emotional, Bell has also gifted us with a snippet of one of the film’s songs, titled “The Next Right Thing,” which Anna sings.

This is the fourth song from Frozen 2 that the cast and creators have spoken about. Previously, an Elsa solo, “Into the Unknown,” was theorized to be the new “Let It Go,” a lullaby sung by Anna and Elsa’s mother that Bell has mentioned in passing, and Olaf’s song “This Will All Make Sense When I’m Older.”
