Game of Thrones: Was Arya destined to kill the Night King? Fans notice big clue
There was some controversy among fans after the Night King’s (played by Vladimir Furdik) death scene on Game of Thrones. Fans thought it should have been Jon Snow (Kit Harington) who killed him. However, a potential clue has been spotted in the soundtrack suggesting otherwise.
Was Arya meant to kill the Night King in Game of Thrones?
The unexpected death of the Night King is still one of the most talked about scenes.
Bran Stark (Isaac Hempstead Wright) and Arya Stark (Maisie Williams) faced him in the series.
Arya wa the one who eventually killed him and although fans disputed the decision before, they have come to terms with it.
One fan has spotted a clue from the soundtrack which could suggest she was always meant to kill him.

Artist Ramin Djawadi created the song Light of the Seven for the soundtrack.
Fans have picked up on the fact it sounds like the singers are saying “Arya” over and over.
Jennyssong posted on Reddit saying: “I am not sure if I was imagining things or not.”
Other fans noticed the same thing and believed it could have been a sign she was destined to play a huge part in the show.
The song first featured in the episode called The Winds of Winter and has been played millions of times.
The Tweets of Ice & Fire Twitter account features a Tweet which says it could have been a “possible foreshadowing” of her later battles.
But according to the composer, the lyrics do not include a girl’s name.
Djawadi told Huffington Post: “That’s the first time I heard that actually. I was not aware of that.”

He said the singers are just saying “ah, ya” over again, but he loved the idea of it sounding like Arya’s name.
He said: “I should have lied and said ‘yes, they’re saying Arya’. I should use that actually, I didn’t think of that.”
Some fans think it should have been Jon, Arya and Bran who killed the Night King together.
They said the three characters should have shown their strength as a family unit.

The scene caused controversy as fans thought it was too early to kill the Night King off.
In the scene Arya jumps out from behind the Night King as he is about to kill Bran.
He catches her while she is in the air and it seems he is about to kill her.
But she manages to transfer the blade to her other hand and stab him.
