Gentleman Jack viewers shocked by naked lesbian romp as Suranne Jones' character tries to seduce Ann Walker

GENTLEMAN Jack viewers were shocked by a naked lesbian romp tonight as Suranne Jones' character tried to seduce Ann Walker.

The second episode of the BBC period drama saw Anne Lister – played by Suranne – focus her attentions on the young and impressionable heiress.

After inviting Ann on a trip to Europe, Anne regaled the pretty blonde with tales of her time in Paris.

As she lured Ann in, she said she was only in the French capital "to study anatomy".

But a split second later, viewers suddenly saw Anne in bed with a naked woman in the midst of a sex act.

No sooner had the scene appeared it was gone, and the camera returned to Anne and Ann chatting on a sofa.

Taking to Twitter, one wrote: "Bloody hell that was a flashback and a half."

Another added: "That was, erm, shocking, funny, and very brief."

A third tweeted: "Wtf that was not what I wanted to see while sat watching with my family #GentlemanJack."

A fourth agreed, writing: "Looked up to seeing Anne giving/receiving an enthusiastic lesson in anatomy.

"Accidentally muted the tv out of second hand embarrassment. Woah. #GentlemanJack @BBCOne."

While the sex scene showed Anne's lustful side, she showed a more delicate approach to seducing Ann.

The two women came close to kissing on a number of occasions, but Anne didn't push things, however, the end of the episode saw her following Ann to the Lake District, meaning a romp between the two could be on the cards very soon.
