Gogglebox beauty Sophie Sandiford wows fans in plunging purple silk dress

Gogglebox star Sophie Sandiford upped the fashion stakes for her latest Instagram post, dressing to the nines in a beautiful silk minidress.

Featuring a geometric blue and lilac print, the gown fell into a deep-V neckline and swept into retro-inspired bell sleeves.

Pairing the look with some towering nude platform heels before a night out, Sophie shared the photo to Instagram on Friday evening.

Captioning the snap with "laughin'" the reality star – who is related to the Chuckle Brothers – could be seen cradling a glass of prosecco as she beamed at the camera.

Sophie’s Gogglebox co-stars and celeb mates filled the comment section below with compliments, more accustomed to seeing Sophie in her comfy clothes on the sofa.

Izzi Warner, who represented Gogglebox at the TV Baftas last weekend, wrote: "Gorgeous…"

"Looking hot!" agreed Daniel Lustig, who appears on the show with his husband Stephen Webb from their cosy Brighton home.

And Coronation Street actress Alexandra Mardell chimed: "Gorj!"

Sophie originally worked as a sales assistant in Debenhams, but when the department store closed down during the pandemic, she sadly lost her job.

With many across the country empathising, Sophie opened up about the devastating impact of the pandemic on the show, saying: "It's just sad, isn't it.

"It's just s**t for everybody, it's going to get even worse, more people are going to lose their jobs and things like that, it's just awful."

Thankfully, the Blackpool-based star has since discovered a new passion, embracing her love for flowers and retraining as a florist.

Meanwhile, Sophie is gearing up to become an auntie for the first time, as her older brother Pete prepares to welcome a child with his fiancée Paige Yeomans.

Holding up her brother’s ultrasound on the show, Sophie said: "My niece or nephew. Does it look like me?"

"Innit mad? I am actually going to be a dad to somebody," Pete replied, as his fans watching from home rushed to Twitter to congratulate the family.
