Gogglebox fans fear Mary and Marina have been secretly dropped as they go ‘missing’ from the show – The Sun

GOGGLEBOX fans fear that telly favourites Mary and Marina may have been secretly dropped as they appear to have gone "missing" from the show.

The loveable ladies have been on the show since 2015, but haven't been seen for a few weeks, leading viewers to speculate that they might not be coming back.

The Bristol pair live together at St Monica Trust retirement village in Westbury-on-Trym.

They have had the nation in stitches with their views on the previous week's TV.

But fans took to Twitter last night to demand to know where they were.

One tweeted: "Aww Mary and Marina on the intro  miss u girls #Gogglebox."

While this one said: "I know it’s because they’re probably isolating but are Mary and Marina okay?? Can any of the producers or their family let us know? I miss them. #Gogglebox"

Another commented: "#Gogglebox I do hope Mary & Marina are doing ok @C4Gogglebox please tell them we miss them & give them lots of love."

But they need not worry as show producer Tania Alexander responded to the concerned viewers, to reassure the nation the ladies were all ok.

She tweeted: "We speak each week. They are fine. Thank you for your concern."

The St Monica’s Trust have also asked their residents not to leave the retirement village due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Meanwhile last night fans of the show were left fuming after Leeds sisters Ellie and Izzi Warner watched hours of TV in the same room – despite not living together.

Viewers said the pair shouldn't be in each other's homes amid the coronavirus lockdown, with some branding Channel 4 "irresponsible" for airing the scenes.

Fans were expecting to see Ellie's boyfriend Nat, who had previously taken Izzi's place during the lockdown, but were shocked to see her back in the house instead.
