Good Morning Britain's Piers Morgan scolded by Susanna Reid as he compares Katy Perry to a 'genetic experiment' and reignites feud with Madonna in coverage of Met Gala
GOOD Morning Britain's Piers Morgan was scolded by his co-host Susanna Reid this morning as he raged about the "ridiculous" outfits worn by stars at the Met Ball last night.
The TV hosts argued after Piers compared Katy Perry to a "genetic experiment" and reignited his long-running feud with Madonna.
Piers started this morning's show by expressing his outrage over some of the outfits worn by guests at the annual fashion ball.
He slammed Katy Perry's long red frock, and declared she looks like a "genetic experiment" before moving on to his old foe Madonna.
The former journalist poked fun at the 57 -year-old singer's decision to wear a grill on her teeth, calling her "ridiculous".
He declared Madonna is "too old" to wear a grill, and insisted his teenage son wouldn't be seen in such a "young" accessory.
GMB regular Piers said: "She's 57 years old. It's so embarrassing. Ridiculous. My 15 year old wouldn't wear that."
The pair have been feuding for more than 15 years after a row over a bread roll at a celebrity party back in 2001.

5Piers also had harsh words for other stars at the Met Ball, including Rihanna, who wore an extravagant ruffled dress.
He said: They all look ridiculous – it's the idea that this is a fashion ball. It's just an excuse to look ridiculous."
Susanna scolded Piers for his harsh comments, and he went on to admit that actress Gwyneth Paltrow was one of the guests who actually looked good.
He called her pale pink dress "classy" and added: "It's something you would actually want to wear."
Piers also had kind words for his co-star after she asked whether the dress she wore for the show would meet his standards, and the former newsman conceded that Susanna did actually look very nice.
It was an emotional show this morning as GMB weather presenter Laura Tobin announced she is pregnant.
Laura shocked Susanna and Piers during her first weather segment of the day, when declared she is having a baby.
She said: "I am having my own little ray of sunshine, yes I'm having a baby."
Susanna and Piers both expressed their shock as Laura explained that only her close family members know about the baby, and she had chosen to reveal her big news to the rest of her loved ones on TV.
Susanna even confessed: "I had a tear in my eye," and her co-host cheekily suggested a name for the tot: "Piers is a great name, you know."
