I broke down after Celebs Go Dating's 'savage' agents forced me to confront most intense moment of my life, says Miles

CELEBS GO dating heartthrob Miles Nazaire has told how he broke down when he was forced to confront an “intense” situation from his past.

The 26-year-old said dating agents Paul Carrick Brunson and Anna Williamson realised his player behaviour was linked to the devastating moment he discovered his ex-girlfriend Maeva D'Ascanio was dating his best friend James Taylor on Made in Chelsea.

In an exclusive chat with The Sun to promote Booster Bootcamp – a campaign to get the nation jabbed to fight against Covid – Miles admits the E4 show made him see he was scared to be vulnerable with anyone again.

He said: “You start off thinking it’s a TV show then quickly realise ‘wow, I’m learning a lot about myself and it’s savage’.

“Paul and Anna are experts – they test you and take you on this really crazy journey.

“There are emotional moments and breakdowns from all the celebrities.

“A particular moment for me – probably the second most intense moment I’ve had on tv was with the agents when they re showed the moment Maeva told me she’d hooked up with my best friend.

"There is a process you guys will see. I’m quite intrigued to see how it looks.”

Asked what he’s learnt from the experience, Miles adds: “My biggest journey on dating and becoming better at that is being vulnerable. That was my issue.

“You’ll see that’s mainly because of being in the limelight and on TV and the expectations vs what I want to do.

“You can see the change from the beginning to the end.”

But before that, Miles has an explosive bust-up with dating guru Paul, as revealed by The Sun.

Miles said: "I had a bit of conflict with Paul.

"He described me as the most self-centered, shallow person he's ever met. And he said I only care about myself and no one else. And if I continue this way, I'll be unhappy for the next 15 years."

Miles went on: "I didn't actually say much to that. I kind of stayed quiet, which I think was good for me because I felt like in the moment I was so angry that if I said anything, I think I’d have said something that I would've regretted.

"I was just really disappointed in him because he’d only seen me a handful of times, and to have such a judgment on my character was quite heavy. It actually made me nearly walk off the show. I nearly quit the show."

But as Miles explained, that was not the end of the conversation.

The reality star added: "So we had a scene after that and we spoke. And to be fair, the first time we spoke, I allowed him to say all those things and I listened and then I walked out, and then this time he allowed me to speak my truth.

"I think he understood that there's certain boundaries that you can't cross and there's certain ways you have to talk to an adult."

And on Paul's comments, Miles reflected: "I feel like it was a bit of a cheap shot."

Defending his outburst Paul, 46, said he sat Miles down after noticing that he was "self-centered" and "focused on himself and his agenda", but waited "a whole two weeks" before talking to the west Londoner about his behaviour.

Paul explained: "My job is not to come in and be a fan of anyone.

"My job is to come in and give hard truths and to say things that perhaps people on their team or in their social circle, maybe have never said to them."

Miles is backing Booster Bootcamp – a new film as part of the ongoing Government and NHS drive encouraging adults to Get Boosted Now.

While 79% of eligible adults have had the booster, uptake is lower among younger people, with just 54% of eligible 18-30 year olds boosted.

If you make just one change this year, make it getting vaccinated against COVID-19. It’s the simplest and best way to protect yourself and others which is why I’m urging people to come forward.

Miles said: "I’ve had my booster – it was quick and easy, and I want to thank the NHS for everything they’re doing to get jabs in arms.

"So please, if you haven’t already, get boosted and get protected."

His Made in Chelsea co-star Julius Cowdrey, who also features in the film, added: "As someone who prioritises their health, getting boosted was a no-brainer.

"It’s simply the best way to take care of yourself and it protects your loved ones from COVID-19.

"And if you have been boosted, great! Make sure you urge your friends and family to get their COVID-19 vaccines too."

Celebs Go Dating airs tonight on E4 at 9pm.
