I'm A Celeb favourite Danny Miller caught up in bitter breakdown of new fiancée's marriage
DANNY Miller’s relationship with a childhood sweetheart was the final straw for her marriage, pals said last night.
The I’m A Celebrity star, and a favourite to win, got together with Steph Jones in 2019 while she was wed to Daniel Babcock.
Devastated Daniel was “in pieces” when he heard about Miller and realised the marriage could not be saved.
A source said: “They were separated, but Daniel was heartbroken when he found out about it.”
In recent interviews Steph has gushed about Miller — her first kiss at primary school and dad to their six-week-old son — but never mentioned DJ Daniel and how they were together for ten years.
They wed in July 2018 but divorced this summer.
Daniel’s close friends say he was further angered when Miller and Steph told OK! magazine in May about his wedding proposal in St Lucia.
A pal told The Sun on Sunday: “There were difficulties in the marriage. They were on a separation but Daniel was optimistic about saving it.
“However, with Miller on the scene, it couldn’t be salvaged and left him absolutely heartbroken and in pieces.
“It was her relationship with Miller which was the final straw. It led to a very painful divorce.
“They’d been together since they were 20 and married in 2018, less than a year before Daniel found out Steph was seeing Miller in May 2019.
"Family and friends know Daniel was upset and annoyed about the way he’s been airbrushed from history by them.”
Last year a story about Miller and Steph’s relationship appeared in the Manchester Evening News.
A comment under it said: “Weird. Last time I saw Steph she was still with my cousin.”
Last weekend Steph, 30, told a newspaper how Miller had been her “rock” through a difficult year.
She said: “He was my first kiss in primary school, aged ten. We dated as teenagers and I was sad when he moved away.
"Two years ago, when we reconnected via his sister, we were both in a really bad place.”
In May, Miller — Emmerdale’s Aaron Dingle for 13 years — spoke to OK! magazine about his candlelit engagement to Steph in St Lucia.
Miller said: “When Adele’s When We Were Young came on it felt very fitting given we met at primary school.”
Steph added: “He was my first love. We’ve said we’ll have the song for our first dance at the wedding.” Again, Daniel was not mentioned.
A pal who attended Steph and Daniel’s wedding said others there that day were in shock.

They said: “There’s a lot of anger and hurt. Neither Steph nor Miller has spoken of her time with Daniel. It’s as if he’s been wiped from memory.
“They had the church wedding and a massive party at Salford Quays.
"They seemed very much in love and vowed to spend the rest of their lives together in front of us.
“The next thing people see Steph in magazines as Miller’s new girlfriend and how they’re engaged.
"It’s been very unfair on Daniel and has left him really struggling to deal with it.”
On Friday’s show, teary Miller, 30, was consoled by David Ginola when he complained of feeling homesick and missing Steph.
Some bookies make Miller favourite to win.
His agent declined to comment.
Daniel, 30, from Manchester, is now in another relationship.
