I'm A Celebrity: Dec claims unaired clip saw James Haskell turn on Andy again
I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here host Declan Donnelly revealed some interesting gossip about James Haskell on Wednesday night’s Extra Camp.
Ant McPartlin and Dec were speaking with Extra Camp hosts Adam Thomas, Emily Atack and Joel Dommett about the show, which is about to see all the campmates ‘cursed’.
Talking about the new task within the camp Dec began: ‘For the first time they are all out for themselves because they want to get the curse lifted and win themselves food and suddenly it’s all a bit of Lord Of The Flies.’
The topic soon shifted to talking about Coronation Street star Andy Whyment, who has been made deputy leader of the camp, and it doesn’t look like James is happy about it.
Adam commented: ‘I don’t like the little dig James Haskell made about the Corrie shout, and it’s like well James played for England so it’s like the whole of England is voting for you, and that’s not the case.’
Dec then claimed ‘that’s it’s obviously bothering James’ as he continued to explain that before every Bushtucker trial they ask the celebs why they think they have been voted to do the trial.
He added: ‘It’s already bothering James because he mentioned to us at the trial and I don’t think they showed it tonight because before a trial we ask them “why do you think you’re here?” and he responded with “I think I shouldn’t have taken on somebody from Corrie as I told Andy to stop talking about the food so I have learned not to take on someone from Corrie”.’
Ant then responded: ‘I think you’re thinking about it too much’.
I’m A Celeb fans had already turned on James on Tuesday night after the former rugby star flew off the handle as the Coronation Street actor innocently asked what his fellow contestants had eaten for their luxury roast dinner the night before.
But James believed that Andy was ‘torturing himself’ with his questions so proceeded to shoot him down in front of everyone.
‘Did you have orange juice with your meal last night?’ Andy quizzed Jacqueline Jossa.
‘Can you stop worrying about last night’s dinner mate?’ James protested. ‘Honestly, you’re going to do your head in. You’re going to torture yourself.’
Good Morning Britain’s Kate Garraway jumped to Andy’s defense though and pointed out: ‘He’s just asking.’
‘No, but I’ve heard him ask 20 times,’ James said, to which Kate clapped back: ‘You would have asked.’
‘I wouldn’t have because I’d torture myself because I can’t have it,’ James retorted. ‘It doesn’t matter if the whole building was made of chocolate and we were fired out of a cannon into it.’
Andy finally had his say, and sticking up for himself, he told James: ‘It’s not doing my head in, I’m just asking what you had, that’s all.’
I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here continues at 9pm on ITV.
