James Bond 25: ‘Daniel Craig set to resume 007 shoot after INJURY’ – ‘He was left FURIOUS’
Last week James Bond 25 filming wrapped in Jamaica, however in the final scenes shot Craig is alleged to have slipped and “tweaked ankle ligaments.” According to The Sun’s Bond insider, the 51-year-old was angered by the incident and was flowed to New York for treatment. Allegedly, Craig’s injury meant planned shooting days had to be cancelled until he recovered. But now the same source says he should be back in action as Bond “within the week”.
The source updated: “Things were deemed to be a disaster at first.
“But the injury is not as severe as believed and he will be able to film while not over exerting his ankle.
“He will be back on set within the week.
“Daniel was furious that he had suffered an injury after spending months getting into prime physical shape.”
The insider had previously said: “Daniel was suited and booted for one of the last scenes in Jamaica.
“He was sprinting during filming when he slipped and fell quite awkwardly.”
“He was in quite a lot of pain and was complaining about his ankle.
“As you’d expect he was also pretty angry that it had happened. He threw his suit jacket on the ground in sheer frustration.”
They added: “Daniel flew out of Jamaica for the US and has already seen a specialist.
“In a pure coincidence, it’s the same surgeon who treated Tottenham and England striker Harry Kane. He’s hoping it won’t delay things for too long.”
The severity of the incident’s effect on filming should be taken with a pinch of salt though as Felix Leiter actor Jeffrey Wright has been sharing pictures of himself walking around Pinewood Studios outside London.
Bond 25 will be released in UK cinemas on April 3, 2020.
