JOEY Essex took no chances amid the coronavirus outbreak as he went shopping wearing a face mask and gloves.

The 29-year-old securely fastened the black mask over his face as he browsed the aisles beside a pal also wearing a mask.

Joey briefly removed his to tuck into his lunch with chopsticks, but it was back on as he made his way to the till.

The outing comes after he was pictured heading into Rita Ora’s pad at 4am after a boozy night out with the singer.

The couple, both 29, then spent the next 13 hours holed up there before Joey left looking pleased with himself yesterday afternoon.

They had tried to avoid being seen together during a wild night out on Thursday — taking separate cars between venues.

But they travelled together in the early hours of the morning to Rita’s posh mansion in upmarket Holland Park, West London.

An onlooker told The Sun: “Rita and Joey looked very relaxed and happy in each other’s company.

“They had beaming smiles as they helped each other from a car and excitedly slipped into her house for the night.”

Earlier Rita showed off her toned abs in a tartan crop top as she performed at Laylow members club near Notting Hill.

Joey, whose catchphrase is “reem”, was also there, wearing a Louis Vuitton top and leather jacket.

When Rita left at 1.40am in a chauffeured car for the Box Soho club in central London, Joey followed in an Uber five minutes later.

There, the pair were spotted popping out for cigarettes and chatting to smokers.

But they left after a couple of hours and climbed into Rita’s car for the journey to hers. Gentleman Joey got out first and held open the door of the white Merc for Rita, now in a yellow puffer jacket.

He hurried up the steps with her to her front door — before emerging, smug and dishevelled, late the next afternoon.

Sources close to Rita insist there is no romantic link between them. But the witness said last night: “They seemed really happy together."

It comes after we revealed Rita and Jude Law’s son Rafferty had recently drifted apart.

Her other exes include music producer Calvin Harris, actor Andrew Garfield, Brooklyn Beckham and Rolling Stone rocker Ronnie Wood’s son Tyrone.

Joey recently split up with Mexican model Lorena Medina after they were spotted rowing at the National Television Awards.

Representatives for Joey and Rita declined to comment.
