Kim Kardashian looks glum in a snakeskin coat as she takes North and Saint last minute Christmas shopping in New York – The Sun
KIM Kardashian took kids North and Saint for some last minute designer Christmas shopping in New York yesterday.
And while it is the most wonderful time of the year, the trio looked like they'd had better days out.
They were seen arriving hand in hand at the Saks Fifth Avenue department store after being dropped off in a black SUV.
Mum-of-four Kim wore a snakeskin coat, shades and loose nude trousers while her long brown hair fell in waves over her shoulders.
Eldest daughter North dressed in a brown fleece and coordinated trousers, and son Saint looked cool in a tie-dye shirt.
Last week Kim confessed she Photoshopped North into her Christmas card after fans claimed it was a "mess".
Suspicious followers trolled the 39-year-old star over the holiday snap, she finally came clean on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.
Speaking to host Ellen, the superstar explained her six-year-old had been throwing a tantrum and decided at the last minute not to take part in the shoot.
She said: "It was a time thing and it was hard to wrangle everyone together so I said I'll just do my own family…
"It was so much anxiety with the four kids, North was having a day and I said fine we'll do it without you but then she said she just wanted to shoot with me.
"So I said fine we'll just Photoshop her in. So that's not actually her in the picture. The anxiety I went though to get that picture. There's always one."
Both Kim and Kanye posted the card on their social media accounts and followers quickly noticed something seemed off in the picture.
In the snap, the family of six is seen wearing grey loungewear while sitting together on their staircase.
Unlike the rest of the family, Kanye is wearing an all-white outfit and gold jewellery.
North and Saint are both sitting on the steps, while Chicago sits on Kanye's knee and Psalm sits on Kim's lap.
Kim confirmed she had doctored the image after The Sun Online spoke to Ruthie Darling, a professional photographer, to see if the picture had really been edited.
She said: "Though this is a beautiful image, and props to the photographer, I would say there are definite signs of 'Photoshoppery' going on here.
"The first tell are the skin tones. If you look at Kim's face it is all the same colour, it appears as if her skin has been 'painted on,' that's because it has been."
She further explained how she knew: "It's a technique I use myself where you select the skin tone using a colour picker and then painting it all over the face with the Photoshop brush tool so that the skin appears even. No one's skin is that perfect, not even yours, Kim."
The New York-based photographer also talked about why everyone looked "like stickers" as one follower wrote.
She said: "The second 'tell' is that everyone is in sharp focus. This usually means that the photo is a composite of several shots spliced together. This is not an unusual thing to do when shooting with kids as it's hard to capture everyone sitting still and looking cute all at the same moment.
"The photographer probably took several shots and layered them together to create this one perfect image."
