Lauren Bolton gets shock news about her dad in Coronation Street | The Sun
MAX Turner is cutting ties with his past in Griff Reynolds' far-right gang – but this was made harder when Lauren Bolton returned.
Next week, news of her father reaches Coronation Street after she tried to get Max to help him receive a short sentence.
Before Griff Reynolds turned all of his attention on Max Turner (played by Paddy Bever), Lauren Bolton (Cait Fitton) was groomed into joining his gang by her own father Reece.
The teen girl was persuaded to take part in the extremist group's activities – and she, in turn, took part in getting Max as invested as she was.
But earlier this year, Lauren fled the ITV cobbles just as Griff Reynolds faced justice for his crimes.
She recently returned to Weatherfield and asked her former boyfriend Max for help out of fear for her father Reece.

However, in upcoming scenes, Max is unforgiving and when Lauren reveals her father asked her to support him at his sentencing, he makes it clear she'll be on her own if she goes through with it.
Later on, Max reveals to Lauren that Reece Bolton was given an 18-year-long sentence for helping Griff spread his racist agenda throughout Weatherfield.
How will she react?
Max has been trying to remain on the straight and narrow since he first came back to Corrie.

While he tried to apologise to Alya Nazir for his actions, which resulted in her being almost fatally stabbed in Speed Daal, Max was pushed away with the restaurateur convinced he hadn't changed.
Max was later encouraged by Ryan Connor to focus on himself and his own actions as he settles back into life in Weatherfield.
Since then, Max has kept his head down, becoming romantically involved with a girl named Sabrina, whom he initially believed to be his former cellmate's ex-girlfriend Bec.
