Love Island fans had no idea about amazing friendship between two Islanders after shock dumping

Love Island fans have been left confused after finding out that islanders André Furtado and Mehdi Edno had a close friendship.

The revelation came after the girls had to announce that they had chosen André to be dumped from the island in a shock double dumping earlier this week.

Although we are now two weeks into the show, their "amazing" friendship has not really been shown on screen. Fans were quick to point that out as André's goodbye scenes aired on the show.

One fan tweeted to say: "You can tell André was close with the boys and that says a lot when it seems most of them hate each other… I hate this."

While another said: "Awwww I had no idea Andre and Mehdi were best friends, wish they had shown us."

During tonight's instalment, some of the Islanders remarked the villa felt "weird without Dre".
