Love Island's Olivia Bowen reveals how her marriage to Alex is 'better than Posh and Becks' | The Sun

LOVE Island’s Olivia Bowen has revealed that her marriage is ‘better than Posh and Becks’ – thanks to understanding her husband’s love language.

The reality star, 29, who met her husband Alex Bowen, 32, on the 2016 series of the ITV2 show, described how loading the dishwasher means more to her than a kiss and a cuddle.

She said: “I do think that you have to learn each other’s love languages. I love the concept of love languages and how someone wants to be loved.

“I am definitely ‘acts of service’ whereas Alex is ‘physical touch’ and ‘words of affirmation’.

“If you know each other then you can respect each other and love in a way that person likes which goes such a long way.

“If I loaded the dishwasher for Alex he would be like, ‘oh cool’ – he wouldn’t be bothered.

Olivia, who welcomed their son Abel in June last year, added: “We have had really hard times so it is definitely worth investing in your relationship and making sure you go on date nights to make sure you are putting each other first.

“You have to remember that you two were together first so you have to give each other that time.”

Olivia and Alex also made Love Island history when they became the first couple from the show to walk down the aisle in 2018.

“It just feels weird that now we are here with a baby, a house, married – it is very weird.”

And since leaving the Love Island villa as runners-up in 2016, Olivia and Alex have built an empire worth £11.8million thanks to brand endorsements, TV appearances and lucrative fashion deals.

Asked if they are Love Island’s answer to Victoria and David Beckham, Olivia laughed: “Better than Posh and Becks!”

It comes as Olivia has partnered with fashion brand Quiz to launch a 20-piece festive partywear edit.

Speaking about the collection, which comes in sizes ranging from six to 18, she said: “It feels so special because it is nearly seven-and-a-half years down the line since I came off Love Island.

“I have friends and family of all shapes and sizes and I am never going to create an edit that doesn’t suit as many people as I possibly can so that was at the forefront of my mind.”
