Love Island’s Rebecca Gormley left red-faced as she gushes about Jess Gale being her ‘bestie’ but posts pic of twin Eve – The Sun
LOVE Island's Rebecca Gormley was left red-faced when she shared a photo of Jess Gale calling her her "bestie" but accidentally posted a picture of her twin sister Eve instead.
Rebecca, 21, took to her Instagram story to show Jess some love, but soon realised her mistake and rectified it.
The first post was in response to a fan asking Rebecca who her best friend was in the Love Island villa earlier this year.
Sharing a selfie of her with Eve, she captioned her reply: "My best friend in the villa was deffo @jessicarosegale we literally laughed together none stop (sic)."
However, she didn't realise that it wasn't actually Jess in the snap.
Feeling a bit embarrassed, the brunette beauty followed it up with a Boomerang video of her and Jess and wrote alongside it: "Whoops last pic was @evegale here's @jessicarosegale."
It's unsure whether or not Rebecca had spotted the mishap herself, or whether eagle-eyed followers had pointed out the error.
Her social media faux pas comes after it was revealed her boyfriend Chris Biggs has given her a second chance after she was accused of cheating on him with Michael Griffiths.
Biggs decided to forgive Rebecca for spending the night with Michael, as the pair insisted that nothing happened between them.
Biggs, 27, broke his silence in an exclusive interview with The Sun Online and revealed what happened after the night out.
"He told me nothing happened and that he would never do that to me," Biggs said.
"Michael did try to call me that night while I was asleep and when I spoke to him he was like, 'look what was I meant to do with her? She was drunk'.
"Michael wanted to make sure she was safe and told me she slept on the couch. Obviously the person who was in the wrong was Rebecca."
Biggs continued: "Everyone's morals are different. I wouldn't have done that to her but I do believe nothing happened. She explained things and I took her word for it.
"In my head I'm like, 'Rebecca you f***ed up'. But at the same time if people knew the truth they'd understand it.
"She's been really apologetic about it. "She let me down. She feels really bad about it and I do believe she likes me."
And Rebecca touched upon their romance during her Instagram Q&A last night when one follower asked her how they were.
Posting a photo of them, she wrote: "Me&Biggs are really good. He is literally the funniest guy I have ever met!"
Despite being apart due to the current coronavirus pandemic, the couple are keeping in touch via FaceTime and Biggs even shared a screenshot of their video call last night, captioning it: "My Wednesday night entertainment."
