Lucifer fans in meltdown as showrunner teases season 5 ‘style’ details
Lucifer (played by Tom Ellis) certainly has a busy summer ahead of him, as his show will be coming to an end with a fifth season. After moving to new network Netflix last year for season four, viewers were pleased with the excellent quality of how the show continued. Now, with one more season left, fans of the franchise are eager to see how the devil’s journey will be left.
The final season certainly won’t be a quick-fix for the ongoing dramas in Lucifer’s life, though, as he was let in quite a situation in season four’s finale.
After taking down the demons who threatened to enslave Earth, Lucifer thought it best to return to Hell and continue his ruling.
Unfortunately, this left his love interest Chloe Decker (Lauren German) alone, just after they had finally confessed their love to one another.
This final scene left many questions unanswered, and indeed left fans hoping to see the pair get together in the upcoming season.

While no details have yet been given about the ongoing relationship drama between Lucifer and Chloe, fans are looking forward to seeing how things unfold.
Now, one of the Lucifer showrunners have spoken out about what is to come in the final episode of the season, and teased the tone of how things are going to end.
Showrunner Joe Henderson wrote on Twitter account to his 37k followers: “Today we started breaking the final episode of #Lucifer.
“Still plenty of work to do… but holy s**t, we are going to end this show in style.”
Fans of the show were ecstatic by this announcement, and instantly began responding to the tweet with their own thoughts about the final episode.
One wrote: “It’s going to be awesome, I’m sure of it! I can’t wait to see it all! You all are the very BESTEST of the BEST!”
Another said: “I’m crying to know it’ll be the last episode makes my heart ache. #Luciferseason5 #Lucifer.”
A third pleaded: “Just let it be happy please,” alongside a slew of sad emojis.
The only thing that is for certain is that Lucifer’s final story will not be in any way connected to the upcoming Sandman adaptation.
Author of both Lucifer and Sandman Neil Gaiman recently spoke out about the notion that Lucifer’s ending had something to do with Sandman.
Speaking out on Twitter, he announced: “It was announced by Netflix when they rescued Lucifer that it would be ending at the end of season five.
“This was well over a year before Netflix won the auction for Sandman.”

Lucifer plays a huge part in the Sandman story, as the pair are involved in the same DC multiverse, allowing them to converse regularly.
And, considering Lucifer recently crossed over into DC’s Crisis on Infinite Earths event, he could certainly be expected to pop up elsewhere.
Unfortunately, viewers may see the final seconds of Lucifer’s screen time in his upcoming season five finale.
Lucifer is available to stream on Netflix UK now.
