Lucifer season 5: Star teases epic fight scene in final series

Lucifer season five will sadly be the last instalment of the Tom Ellis led fantasy drama. Filming is currently underway with the 16-episode fifth season expected to premiere in Spring 2020. The cast and crew have been dropping some spoilers on social media about the show’s storyline.

DB Woodside took to Twitter earlier this month to host a QandA with Lucifer fans.

A fan asked him to reveal some storylines that he’d “like to explore” in season 5.

Woodside teased in response: “I don’t know about story lines but I would love an epic fight scene. I would also love to dance.”

At the end of season four, Lucifer returned to hell, leaving Amenadiel, Chloe (played by Lauren German) and Maze (Lesley-Ann Byrant) on earth.

After Chloe confessed her love to Lucifer (Tom Ellis) she may venture to hell to bring him back to Earth, with Maze by her side.

As Amenadiel is Lucifer’s brother, he will probably join them on their journey to hell, battling against some demons on the way down.

However, fans seemed to be more excited about the prospect of Amenadiel dancing.

One fan replied: “Uhuh you dancing yesss.”

Another wrote: “OMG I NEED TO SEE YOU DANCEEE.”

A third fan tweeted: “I would live to watch you dance!”

One character who will have a fight scene in season five is Maze.

Lesley-Ann Brandt who plays the demonic Maze teased some details about her character in the final season on Twitter.

On Wednesday, September 11, Brandt shared some behind the scenes photos of the cast filming Lucifer season five.

She posted a photo of herself dressed as Maze standing next to her stunt double who was also dressed exactly the same way.

She captioned the photo: “Double the demon with my girl @NeeshNation helping Maze kick ass since season three.

“Fun fact, this dope queen doubled Halle in John Wick #eyesup @LuciferNetflix.”

One fan responded: “Can’t wait to see Maze whoop some a** in the final season…to be fair, she would rock a whole solo series herself! Misadventures of Maze”

Another wrote: “As long as Maze has her well deserved ending, I’ll be happy for s5.”

A third fan commented “One of the things I like best about Maze and you is strong outspoken women who can kick ass and take care of themselves. And Maze fight scenes are awesome! Rock on ladies!”

In July 2019, Brandt also teased a major fight scene involving Maze on her Twitter.

She wrote: “I asked @LUCIFERwriters for a couple of things for this last season.

“One of which was I get my one, BIG, epic, Mazikeen fight scene. The one where I get to show u (sic) all what I’m capable of. One everyone will remember. I’m prepping physically. The climb is steady @LuciferNetflix”

Filming for luckier season five is currently underway, and fans only have to wait until Spring 2020 to find out what will happen next in Lucifer.
