Meet the stars of the first Doctor Who 60th anniversary special, Star Beast
Children in Need 2023: Doctor Who Special
BBC’s hit sci-fi favourite Doctor Who will make its long-awaited return this weekend to celebrate its 60th anniversary with three specials.
In October 2022 the series’ BBC centenary episode came to a jaw-dropping cliffhanger when the show’s 13th Doctor (played by Jodie Whittaker) regenerated into David Tennant.
As well as the return of the beloved 10th Doctor, it was confirmed the specials will be titled Star Beast, Wild Blue Yonder, and The Giggle.
As a result, fans are eager to know what the storylines will entail and which stars will make an appearance in the specials.
Viewers were treated to a gripping trailer that confirmed Donna Noble’s (Catherine Tate) comeback and Ncuti Gatwa as the new Doctor.

The three specials will feature a star-studded cast alongside the return of one of the Doctor’s very family and greatest foes, the Daleks.
Star Beast will welcome back Jacqueline King who starred Donna’s mum Sylvia Noble, who was famously quick to put her daughter down.
However, after seeing the Doctor, her fate hangs in the balance as he warns that if Donna were ever to remember him, her mind would burn and she would die.
Karl Collins will also make his comeback as the trusted companion’s husband, Shaun Temple.
