Several grudges have been held against Agent Kensi Blye (played by Daniela Ruah) in the long-running NCIS spin-off, NCIS: Los Angeles. After receiving death threats from an old rival, David Kessler (Frank Military) last season, some fans of the CBS series think he could have received some crucial intel from beyond the grave.
A shocking new theory has proposed the surprise return of rogue CIA Agent Ferris (Kurt Yaeger) in the upcoming 13th season of NCIS: Los Angeles.
Kensi Blye remains in grave danger heading into the next outing after it was revealed the sadistic killer David Kessler was given a full pardon.
After pulling some strings, Kessler walked free from his maximum security cell in season 12 and immediately set his sights on getting revenge over Kensi.
Recent speculation has now proposed the dangerous sociopath may have already had some help from another enemy of Kensi’s who was taken down in season eight.
One fan took to Reddit to suggest Agent Ferris could make a posthumous appearance in the next season of NCIS: LA.
User Blue_Musiclover posted: “Is it me, or does Kessler seem like he got the information about Densi from Ferris?
“I mean it is possible. They did get into NCIS’ Network.”
Both men have managed to hack into the NCIS systems to access more intel about the agents’ whereabouts.
In season 12’s 17th episode, ‘Through The Looking Glass’, Kessler was able to bypass the NCIS firewalls to send Kensi a threatening postcard.
His message at the end of the latest season has already hinted he’ll come back with a vengeance next time round.
Furthermore, Ferris did his fair share of hacking in the eighth season, in which he attempted to get revenge on Kensi for shooting him in the leg, which had to be amputated.
Luckily, Ferris was taken out by Kensi’s now husband Marty Deeks (Eric Christian Olsen) in the nick of time.

Despite being shot through the head, this theory suggests Ferris could still have set things in motion for someone else to take revenge on his behalf.
Moreover, a hint from Operations Manager Hetty Lange (Linda Hunt) confirmed Ferris still left a lot of loose ends for the team to tie up.
The same fan added: “Hetty said they have a mess to clean up, and some of the info they got might have been sold to other people.”
Ferris’s NCIS intel was still available to the highest bidder, and may have eventually fallen into the wrong hands.
As Kessler has already proven to have powerful connections, he may know much more about the NCIS team than he’s letting on.
Another viewer argued: “Doubt Kessler will be looming over D&K the entire season.
“They have to close the loop on some of these arcs and send our team happily into the future.”
While Kessler is unlikely to remain a threat throughout the entirety of season 13, Ferris’s info could help him get a leg up over NCIS in the first few episodes.
Although Deeks’ double tap put a definitive end to Ferris’s schemes, this theory could leave the door open for the rogue agent to make a surprise flashback appearance in the next season.
NCIS: Los Angeles season 13 will premiere in 2021 on CBS.
