Nick and David both jailed after shocking Corrie violence?
The violent and aggressive war between brothers David Platt (Jack P Shepherd) and Nick Tilsley (Ben Price) is set to escalate in Coronation Street as the pair end up coming to blows ahead of their court appearances. But will they be going to prison?
Nick is the one who orchestrated the theft of Audrey Roberts’ (Sue Nicholls) money but now faced with prison time with the added suspicion that he sabotaged the factory roof, he has set out to frame David and is doing a pretty good job of it.
As Nick tries to build bridges with Audrey, Paula Martin (Stirling Gallacher) reminds him that he is in breach of his bail conditions by contacting his gran. On the day of Leanne Battersby’s (Jane Danson) birthday, Nick presents her with a bracelet and she suggests a get together, with Gail Rodwell (Helen Worth) trying to persuade Audrey to come along.
However, when Nick arrives and finds that Gail and Audrey haven’t turned up to Leanne’s drinks, he storms round to the house and blames David before they end up fighting. Gail enters the room and begs them to stop, delivering a strong wake up call.
Back at the flat, Nick confides that sometimes his brain injury makes him behave in a rash and violent way and he wishes he could control it – but is this another means of manipulating the situation to his advantage?
When David hears about his next move, he decides to hit back and pledges to tell a huge lie in court – something which Shona Ramsey (Julia Goulding) advises him against. It’s a whopper too and one that could really shift the balance and be terrible for Nick.
As Gail tries to host an intervention with the family, she uses an ornament to be passed around so one person can speak at one time. But when the meeting descends into chaos, the ornament is launched – making things ten times worse.
The court appearance finally arrives after a week of family fighting and Audrey refuses to go – and is fuming when Gail attends to support her sons.
But will they be locked up after breaching their bail conditions a number of times?
