Olivia Attwood is talking to ITV about replacing Caroline Flack as host of Love Island spin-off Aftersun after she quit – The Sun

OLIVIA Attwood is reportedly in talks with ITV about replacing Caroline Flack as the host of Love Island spin-off Aftersun.

Earlier today we revealed that Caroline, 40, has quit the show, and the spin-off, after being charged with assault following a bust-up at her home – leaving the door open for someone else to step in.

According to the MailOnline, Olivia, 28, is the favourite among producers for the coveted role.

A source said: “Olivia starred on Love Island in 2017 – she knows exactly what the Islanders will be going through.

“Olivia has really proven herself as a TV star. Since making a name for herself she's worked on a number of shows including Crackin' On, Celebs Go Dating and TOWIE, as well as appearing as a guest on I'm A Celebrity… Extra Camp and Aftersun.

“The team at ITV have a great working relationship with her and feel she'll bring her experience as a former islander to the show, plus the fact they love she always speaks her mind.

“Bosses have already scheduled meetings with Olivia to discuss the role but hope she'll be the one to sign on the dotted line.”

ITV have already said they are not ruling out a return for Caroline in the future, saying in a statement: "ITV has a long standing relationship with Caroline and we understand and accept her decision. We will remain in contact with her over the coming months about future series of Love Island."

Following the news that Caroline had quit after her arrest on Thursday after an early-hours altercation with boyfriend Lewis Burton, we revealed that Laura Whitmore had already spoken to ITV bosses about the job.

The Irish TV host, who dates Love Island voiceover man Iain Stirling, has “had a chat” with show bosses about taking over the role

Stacey Solomon, Maya Jama and Gemma Collins are also among those tipped to take over hosting a winter version of the show which kicks off in South Africa next month.

Speaking about her decision to step down, Caroline told The Sun: "Love Island has been my world for the last five years, it’s the best show on telly. In order to not detract attention from the upcoming series I feel the best thing I can do is to stand down for series six.

"I want to wish the incredible team working on the show a fantastic series in Cape Town."
