Outlander season 5 spoilers: Claire Fraser star details which character change she loves
Outlander fans still have quite a while to wait for the fifth season of the show to return. And although the show has gone through some changes in the past four seasons, Claire Fraser star Caitriona Balfe has now spoken out about which changes she has enjoyed so far.
Claire and Jamie Fraser (payed by Sam Heughan) have a tough season ahead of them, as the American Revolutionary War is just on the horizon.
And although it looks like Jamie may be dragged into the situation, the hardest part of the event could be their separation.
The pair have been through some huge changes over the years, and have even been dragged apart through time a number of times.
But these scenarios have been quite formative for the couple, and has seen the characters change both physically and emotionally over the years.

These transformations included extra wrinkles, the addition of grey hair, and a more frail persona.
Recently, during a Q&A on Twitter, Claire star Caitriona spoke out about the changes she has enjoyed seeing thus far.
During the event a fan asked her if it was difficult seeing herself as an older woman on screen, to which she responded: “No it’s good.
“It helps counter balance all the c**p pressure I feel from all the bombardment of pictures and ads about how we should all look like teenagers.
“We shouldn’t. Wrinkles equals time equals life… Trying to love them.”
Fans of the show were simply elated by the star’s response, as one replied: “Love this soooooo much. Thank you for being such a champion on this issue”.
Meanwhile, Outlander author Diana Gabaldon recently spoke about the first part of the show’s fifth season.
Speaking on The Lit Forum the author wrote: “I will say (cautiously) that I’m really pretty pleased with season five.

“I’ve seen five or six full-assembled eps by now, and while there’s always going to be the occasional minor thing that makes me go, ‘on your heads be it’ under my breath, by and large I think it’s a really good, sensitive adaptation, and has a much better grip on the characters.”
She then went on to tease a huge formative change for one character in particular.
Diana continued: “People show strength and resilience because of who they are and the circumstances in which they find themselves.
“Not because someone decided they should be strong… I think you might like it.”

Fans believe the character Diana is referring to is none other than Roger MacKenzie (Richard Rankin).
Roger saw a brutal time in the past in season four, which left him tied up as a prisoner by the Native Americans.
Fans are now hoping season five will see Roger take on a more reserved role, and that he would get an easier ride this year.
Outlander season 5 will air on Amazon Prime on February 16, 2020.
