'Pervert' teacher Theo continues to groom 12-year-old Lily in EastEnders
Lily Slater (Lillia Turner) left her friends concerned in recent EastEnders scenes as she showed off her new trainers, and revealed that they were a gift from an older man.
Viewers will know that the trainers were a gift from Theo Hawthorne (William Ellis), who told Lily that it would be their ‘little secret’, after Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner) forbade her from keeping them.
The following day, Lily wore the shoes to meet up with her friends, who were eager to know where she got them from.
When she revealed that an older man had given them to her, they instantly expressed their concerns, with Nugget Gulati (Juhaim Rasul Choudhury) fearing that she would end up being kidnapped.
Amy Mitchell (Ellie Dadd) assured her that he was overreacting, but urged her to be careful, as it did sound very dodgy.

Lily pointed out that her aunty Whitney Dean (Shona McGarty) had been groomed in the past, so she would be able to tell if it was happening to her.
Amy remained concerned as Lily stormed off, determined to get answers from Theo himself.
When she ran into him later, she asked him directly if he was a ‘pervert’, leaving him a little taken aback.
He soon realised that she was talking about the trainers, and explained how he understood that it may seem strange to her friends seeing as they believed that he was just some random man.
However, he assured her that he wasn’t random, as he had known Freddie Slater (Bobby Brazier) for a long time, as well as being friends with Stacey and Jean (Gillian Wright).
He quickly twisted her friends’ concerns, accusing them of being jealous, and told her not to care about what other people think.
Elsewhere, a worried Amy confided her concerns in Stacey, sending her into a furious rage.
When Stacey confronted her about the whereabouts of the trainers, Lily told her she had dumped them in a wheelie bin because she knew she’d go mad.
She went on to defend Theo, saying that he was ‘alright’ and that Stacey was way too hard on him the previous day.
Feeling guilty, Stacey tracked Theo down and apologised to him for her actions.
As she made things up with Lily, Theo watched on from afar…
