Piers Morgan sends love to Sharon Osbourne as she wishes him a happy birthday after quitting The Talk for defending him
PIERS Morgan loved a birthday message from Sharon Obsourne after she lost her job for defending him.
The 68-year-old wished Piers a happy birthday on her Instagram stories and shared a picture of the old friends embracing.
Piers – who just turned 56 – shared the post to his own Instagram stories and added a red love heart emoji.
The Insta love comes as the pair are out of work, weeks of being accused of making “racist” comments.
On Friday, CBS announced Sharon, who was the last remaining original host of the show, “decided to leave The Talk” after 11 years.
Absolutely “livid” over all the allegations being made against her and the situation with The Talk, the alum is reportedly planning to sue CBS for “damages over her departure,” according to Mail On Sunday.
CBS also confirmed in the statement that The Talk will continue to be on hiatus for the foreseeable future while the cast makes its transition.
"Sharon Osbourne has decided to leave The Talk," CBS announced on Friday.
"The events of the March 10 broadcast were upsetting to everyone involved, including the audience watching at home.
“As part of our review, we concluded that Sharon’s behavior toward her co-hosts during the March 10 episode did not align with our values for a respectful workplace.
Backlash and "racism" allegations against Sharon began after she got into a tense on-air argument with co-host Sheryl Underwood regarding Piers Morgan's "racially insensitive" behavior toward Meghan Markle.
Sharon defended Piers and his "freedom of speech," but Sheryl attempted to explain that racism's not always "the words themselves" but the "intent or way they are said" but Sharon kept fighting back.
Piers was also confronted for his views by costar Alex Beresford, which saw the former GMB host storm off on live television.
He'd locked horns with Alex live on air as they debated the Meghan Markle Oprah interview, with Piers storming off set before quitting the programme entirely just hours later.
The star wrote on Sunday: "I've had nice messages from all the other GMB presenters, apart from Alex Beresford, and many of the wonderful production team, from camera operators and producers to make-up artists.
"Some really moved me."
Alex did not acknowledge the jab as he took to Instagram later that day, brushing off the ongoing saga as he wrote: "Bless up yourselves on what looks like a grey Sunday.
"Remember the sun still rises and sets so beautifully some place in the world everyday."
