Power season 6: Will Tariq die in the final episodes? 50 Cent drops MAJOR clue
Ahead of its return in January 2020, spoilers and theories surrounding Power season six are being kept well under wraps as the mystery of who show James ‘Ghost St Patrick (played by Omari Hardwick) continues. However, executive producer 50 Cent may have just given away a major spoiler about the fate of Tariq (Michael Rainey Jr) in a now-deleted Instagram post.
50 Cent, who starred as Kanan in the hit Starz series, took to Instagram yesterday (November 21) with some exciting news.
The rapper and actor shared a snap from the set of the Power spin-off series currently in the works.
The caption read: “On set of Power Book II right now, you know the vibes.”
Joining him in the picture were two very familiar faces to Power fans in the form of Gianni Paolo and Michael Rainey Jr.

Gianni Paolo is currently playing Brayden in season six while Rainey Jr is, of course, Ghost’s son Tariq.
However, the rapper soon took the post off of his social media leading fans to jump to conclusions about Rainey Jr’s involvement.
With Tariq becoming more and more involved in the drug trade, he’s a perfect candidate to lead the Power spin-off.
Seeing as he was on set and the post has now been taken down also suggests 50 Cent may have given away that fact – although neither Starz and Power confirmed this to Deadline who reported on the post.
Suspicions arise also when taking into consideration 50 Cent hasn’t remained secretive when it comes to sharing hints about the spin-off before.
If Tariq were to be a part of the spin-off series, it would surely mean the character survives the final five episodes of Power.
Express.co.uk has contacted Starz for comment regarding the post.
Fans will have to wait until Power returns in January to find out for sure about Tariq’s fate but, in the meantime, several convincing theories have emerged to suggest he is the one to have shot his father.
The mystery of who shot Ghost will provide the basis for all of the five final episodes and Riq looks like the prime suspect.
However, there are a number of credible arguments out there for plenty of other characters.
The location of the gunshot on Ghost’s body has left some fans convinced it was Tommy (Joseph Sikora) who pulled the trigger.
Elsewhere, a theory that Ramona (Cynthia Addai-Robinson) is related to former foe Breeze has prompted some viewers to conclude she’s the mystery shooter.

One thing that is for sure thanks to showrunner Courtney Kemp is that Ghost will appear in all five episodes.
However, Kemp has also spoken out about the alternate endings she and the crew have filmed in order to avoid leaks.
Needless to say, the next few episodes of Power are going to be unmissable.
