Queer Eye star quits show after seven seasons – and fans dont blame him

While the shocking news stunned fans across the globe, many claimed in his Instagram comments that they completely understood his decision.

One joked: “I can only assume he’s leaving to run the country. Most effective human ever.”

A second gushed: “Omg what i’m crying i love bobby so much. yall have made queer eye so special. won’t be the same but we will still show yall endless love and support.” (sic)

Many shared their excitement to watch his “beautiful new chapter” saying the 42-year-old is “meant to do great things”.

However, a number of followers shared their grief over the news, comparing it to “NSYNC breaking up” and “Zayn leaving One Direction”.

Another added: “Nooooooo, but also: live your best life, boo! Rooting you on wherever you go xx.”

On the social media platform, the Hollywood star penned a lengthy and heartfelt message to his millions of followers alongside a collection of touching moments from Queer Eye, calling the last six years “absolutely surreal” to share the “healing powers of design”.

He emotionally shared: “The way you have embraced me and accepted me for who I am is something that l will truly carry with me for the rest of my life.

Bobby admitted the decision was not easily made, but claimed it is “necessary” and assured fans: “You will be seeing more of me very soon. I love you all so so much and I’ll meet you all in Nola for one final season.”

The interior designer’s co-stars also shared some sweet words, as Karamo Brown lovingly wrote: “My heart is broken that season 8 will be Bobby’s last on Queer Eye!

“He is magic in what he designs and how he makes us all feel. #ForeverTheFab5.”

Queer Eye season 8 is is set to premiere early next year.
